Netherlands Parliamentary Election: D66 vs VVD

The ruling coalition of the Netherlands collapsed on June 3, 2025. New parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held on 29 October 2025. This market will resolve to "D66" if, after the election, the number of seats held by Democrats 66 (D66) in the House of Representatives is higher than that held by the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD). This market will resolve to "VVD" if, after the election, the number of seats held by the People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD) in the House of Representatives is higher than that held by Democrats 66 (D66). If both parties hold the same number of seats or if voting in the Netherlands election for the House does not occur by July 31, 2026, this market will resolve 50-50. This market’s resolution will be based solely on the number of seats won by the respective parties. This market will resolve based on the election results, as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the Electoral Council (Kiesraad) (https://www.kiesraad.nl/).
