Will Trump announce TikTok deal by Thursday?

This market will resolve to “Yes” if Donald Trump officially announces that a deal for the sale or restructuring of TikTok’s U.S. operations has been finalized by Thursday, October 30, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. Only official policy or transaction announcements will qualify. Informal statements, expressions of intent, ongoing negotiations, or reports of progress without a formal announcement of a completed deal will not be considered. Statements such as US treasury secretary Scott Bessent's October 26 claims that “We reached [a deal] in Madrid, and I believe that as of today, all the details are ironed out, and that will be for the two leaders to consummate that transaction” do not constitute an official policy announcement and will not qualify. The resolution source will be official announcements from the Trump administration; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
