Will Canada lower tariffs on the U.S. before June?

This market will resolve to “Yes” if the Canadian government or its administration officially announces that Canada will lower, pause, delay, or remove any existing tariffs on the United States by May 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. Only the removal of tariffs specifically targeting the United States will qualify. For example, the removal of a general tariff on all imports into Canada, or a tariff on specific U.S. states or entities, will not count toward this market’s resolution. Item-specific tariff exemptions will qualify. Any action officially enacted within the market’s time frame will qualify, regardless of when the change goes into effect. The resolution source will be official announcements from the Canadian government; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
