New Pope announced by May 31?

This market will resolve to "Yes" if a new pope is officially announced by May 31, 2025, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A new pope will be considered announced once the senior cardinal deacon proclaims "Habemus Papam!" from the balcony of St. Peter's Basilica, or when the Catholic Church officially announces the name of the newly elected pope. The primary resolution source for this market will be the official announcement from the Catholic Church, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
